Jackie Clay is a program associate for Arts and Culture.

Prior to joining Mellon, Jackie served as executive director and curator at the Coleman Center for the Arts, a contemporary arts organization that produces socially engaged public art projects in the Alabama Black Belt region. She has contributed to catalogs including Prospect 4, black is a color, and An Impulse to Keep, and the Greenwood Art Project catalog. Jackie is the host of Monograph, a documentary series produced by Alabama Public Television that focuses on creative practice both inside and outside the framework of the traditional arts.

She holds a BA from Auburn University and dual MAs in curatorial practice and visual & critical studies from California College of the Arts in San Francisco.
