Ciara Murphy

Ciara Murphy is the manager of strategic initiatives and planning for Arts and Culture.

Before joining Mellon, Ciara served as the Director of Strategic Research and Planning at the Public Theater, New York, where she led all aspects of audience research and long-range institutional planning.She also serves as a faculty member for the Stanford in New York program, where her teaching focuses the history of live art, theater, and performance in New York.

She holds a BA in Drama and Theater Studies from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, and a PhD in Theatre and Performance Studies from Stanford University.
