Carolina Chavez

Carolina Chavez is a talent and operations generalist. She provides consultative support to employees and managers across all HR functional areas, with key responsibility for the Foundation’s comprehensive onboarding, recruitment, professional development, and internship programs.

Before joining Mellon, Carolina was the HR coordinator and office manager supporting more than 300 employees at the West Side YMCA, the largest branch of the YMCA of Greater New York. Before joining the nonprofit sector, she was the HR benefits assistant at Hachette Filipacchi Media, publisher of Elle magazine, Woman’s Day, and Car & Driver. Carolina also has a strong customer service background from working at the American Museum of Natural History and the New-York Historical Society.

She holds a BA with a double major in Spanish and sociology from Hunter College and has been a SHRM-CP since 2015.
